What can I say … I have always been different, the middle child… My given names are Isebella Elizabeth, but Izette was the name my parents decided to call me. In Afrikaans, my home language, it is pronounced as ‘E-zet’, and then I created my own version … iz.
I grew up on the West Rand of Johannesburg, South Africa, and am presently blessed to live in Calodyne, Mauritius, married to the most amazing husband with three gorgeous boys.
The artist in me was discovered at a very young age, starting with potato stamps and finger painting then onto doodling, pen and pencil sketches and painting anything on my bedroom walls.
I mostly enjoy acrylics but still enjoy experimenting with oils, watercolours, pastels, and charcoal.
I am looking forward to sharing my journey with you.
